Al-Nassr wins minimally against Al-Ettifaq, approaching the Saudi Pro League championship

The 1-0 victory over Al-Ettifaq in the early morning round of April 16 helps Al-Nassr increase their advantage in the Saudi Pro League championship race in the 2025-2026 season.

At home, Al-Nassr entered the game proactively and soon put pressure on the opponent's half. Right in the first half, Sadio Mane had a chance to open the score but could not take advantage when his finish was blocked right on the goal line.

In the 31st minute, the turning point of the match appeared. After Cristiano Ronaldo's unsuccessful finish against goalkeeper Marek Rodák, Kingsley Coman promptly rushed in to volley accurately, scoring the only goal to help Al-Nassr take the lead.

After gaining an advantage, the home team continued to maintain an attacking game. Ronaldo almost doubled the gap with a shot that hit the crossbar. However, in the second half, Al-Ettifaq pushed up the squad to find an equalizer. Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Dembélé's shots continuously challenged goalkeeper Bento Matheus Krepski but could not bring results.

In the opposite direction, Al-Nassr still created many more notable opportunities. Ronaldo, Joao Felix and Mane all had dangerous finishing situations but lacked accuracy in finishing.

Drama was pushed up in injury time when Jack Hendry received a red card after a collision with Joao Felix. However, Al-Ettifaq could not take advantage of personnel to find an equalizer.

In the end, Al-Nassr won 1-0 against Al-Ettifaq, thereby widening the gap with the chasing group to 8 points and taking another important step in the journey to conquer the Saudi Pro League championship this season.
