The final round of V.League 2025-2026 taking place on the afternoon of June 7 closed the dramatic relegation race between three teams Da Nang club, PVF-CAND and Becamex TPHCM, when all three ended the season with 24 points and had to determine the ranking by direct head-to-head index.
At home, Da Nang had a 4-0 victory over Thanh Hoa, thereby officially successfully staying in the league. The Han River team finished the season in 12th place with 24 points, escaping danger in a race considered tense until the final round.
Meanwhile, PVF-CAND won 3-1 against Song Lam Nghe An at Vinh Stadium. This result helped the team finish in 13th place and win the right to play the relegation play-off match with Bac Ninh club - the second-placed team in the National First Division.
In the opposite direction, Becamex TPHCM, although defeating Hoang Anh Gia Lai with a score of 3-1, still could not improve their ranking. The team returned to the bottom of the season in the group of three teams with equal points and had to be directly relegated.
