Vietnamese and Korean fans are waiting for Bich Thuy's performance after a series of impressions she left in the GS Caltex shirt.
After the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy said goodbye to the Indonesian national championship, Tran Thi Bich Thuy became the only player of Vietnamese women's volleyball still playing abroad at the present time.
Although she went abroad to one of the top volleyball teams in Asia, Bich Thuy quickly left her mark. She played better and better, bringing positive changes to the GS Caltex club.
In the match against the team in the top 4 Hwaseong IBK Altos, GS Caltex surprised everyone by easily winning against their opponents after only 3 sets (25-15, 25-21, 26-24). Bich Thuy contributed with 8 points and a series of effective blocks.
After that match, according to statistics from the tournament organizing committee, Vietnam's middle blocker led the tournament in the quick scoring index between the net with 9 points after 17 efforts, achieving an efficiency of 52.94%. In addition, Bich Thuy is also leading the value-based blocking metric ( valid block) with 15 times.
Continuing to maintain high performance, in the most recent match, GS Caltex lost 1-3 to the leader Hungkuk Pink Spiders. However, Bich Thuy was still confident and showed her role. After 4 sets, the 25-year-old middle blocker has 11 points (1 block), the efficiency reaches 77%. Her quick attacks are very powerful and highly efficient.
Experts say this is Bich Thuy's best performance since competing in the Korean National Volleyball Championship.
It is not surprising that Bich Thuy has been in good form during her recent time abroad. But for Bich Thuy, her available qualities seem to be superior to her peers. Bich Thuy's momentum was light, she jumped high and her cutting range was quite high. If given the opportunity to play and have a fiery fighting spirit on the field, Bich Thuy will do very well with her current skill set".
Coming to compete in a top-developed volleyball tournament in Asia is a sufficient condition for Bich Thuy to express herself. At first, she had not received many passes from the GS Caltex setter team, but with her recent impressions, the Vietnamese hitter showed that she is a completely reliable attacking player.
In a recent video recorded by fans in Korea, Bich Thuy shared: "Coming to Korea, I wanted to develop my blocking ability because this is my weakest point." Bich Thuy is trying to complete this goal and soon return to serve the Duc Giang Chemicals team in the national championship.
