The 2026 World Cup Carom Billiards Tournament is the 5th round of the 2026 World Cup system organized by the International Billiards Association - UMB this year.
This tournament takes place from August 31 to September 6. Vietnamese Billiards is awarded 7 participation slots with players Tran Thanh Luc, Tran Quyet Chien and Chiem Hong Thai, Bao Phuong Vinh, Nguyen Dinh Quoc, Pham Quoc Thuan, Nguyen Chi Long.
Two players Tran Thanh Luc and Bao Phuong Vinh were awarded tickets to the main round of the tournament at Lier (Belgium) by UMB.
The remaining billiards players of Vietnam must compete in qualifying rounds according to their turns to compete for tickets to the main round.
The main round of the Carom World Cup 2026 at Lier (Belgium) has 32 players participating.
The players are drawn into 8 groups (4 people each group).
In the immediate future, the first 17 players will be awarded tickets directly to the main round by the Organizing Committee.
The list includes 14 leaders in the world 3-bar carom rankings and 3 players with wildcards.
The qualifying round matches will select 15 more players with the best results to enter the main round.
This year, Vietnamese billiards has not had any players win the stage championship of the Carom World Cup 2026 through the previous 4 rounds.
In the first leg of the Carom World Cup 2026, player Tran Thanh Luc won the runner-up position.
In stage 2, Chiem Hong Thai also reached second place, and in stage 3, Bao Phuong Vinh won 3rd place while Chiem Hong Thai also ranked 3rd in the fourth round.
