Hanoi men's and Ho Chi Minh City women's teams won gold medals in the team table tennis event of the Xth National Sports Festival - 2026 (the result is also counted as the 44th National People's Newspaper Championship - 2026) after winning late on the evening of August 13.
The two final matches held at Hai Duong Gymnasium (Hai Phong) are a competition between Hanoi and Hai Phong (male team), Ho Chi Minh City and People's Police (female team).
In the men's team final, the Hanoi team sent 3 contestants including Nguyen Anh Tu, Do Manh Luong, Nguyen Van Huan while Hai Phong sent a force including Doan Ba Tuan Anh, Nguyen Duy Phong and Bui Huu Huy.
In the first match, Tuan Anh of Hai Phong defeated Manh Luong of Hanoi 3-0.
In the next match, Anh Tu overcame Duy Phong 3-1 to create balance for the Hanoi team.
In the next 2 matches, the home team Hai Phong did not get a victory when Huu Huy lost 1-3 to Van Huan and Tuan Anh lost 1-3 to Anh Tu.
