Table tennis at the X-2026 National Sports Festival resumed competition on August 12 at Hai Duong Gymnasium (Hai Phong) after a 2-day break (August 10, August 11).
The men's and women's team quarter-finals of the tournament took place excitingly as soon as they were allowed to compete again.
On the competition day, in the men's category, the People's Police team defeated Ho Chi Minh City 3-0. Meanwhile, the Army men's team defeated Khanh Hoa 3-0.
In 2 other quarter-final matches, the Hanoi men's team with Vietnam's No. 1 player Nguyen Anh Tu defeated Thanh Hoa 3-0 and Hai Phong team defeated Dong Nai 3-0.
With this result, the men's team semi-finals determined the competition pairs including Hanoi - Army and People's Police - Hai Phong.
In the women's team event, the championship contender, Ho Chi Minh City, defeated host Hai Phong with a score of 3-0.
In another quarter-final competition, Hanoi team won against Lam Dong 3-0 while Quan Doi won against Tay Ninh 3-0 and Cong An Nhan Dan won against Dong Nai 3-1.
The women's team semi-finals have identified matches including Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and People's Police - Army.
Men's and women's team events will compete in the semi-finals in the late afternoon of the 12th. 8.
