The Vietnam U21 Women's Volleyball Team and the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team won an official spot to compete in the world tournament, according to their professional level.

Players need confidence

Fitness expert Karlim has acknowledged: Vietnamese women's volleyball players have potential. They should not be too hesitant on the big playground. International tournaments will bring direct results to each player".

Coach Nguyen Trong Linh of the Vietnam U21 Women's Volleyball Team at the 2025 U21 World Cup said: "The youth volleyball teams participating in the world tournament have prepared very carefully and professionally. We do not evaluate the competition results but directly see the preparation of each volleyball team in all aspects, and we need to learn more from the other teams.

The U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team is playing outstandingly at the world youth tournament in Indonesia. The team has 12 players and many players on the field have affirmed their expertise such as Dang Thi Hong, Lai Khanh Vy, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Pham Quynh Huong...

Experts assess that each young Vietnamese player has the opportunity to compete internationally. If they are in good form, representatives of international teams will definitely come. Coach Nguyen Trong Linh also affirmed that his 12 players are potential athletes who can develop their expertise for Vietnamese women's volleyball.

Seeking development potential

The Vietnam women's volleyball team will go to Thailand to participate in the 2025 World Championship on August 22.

Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet discussed: Vietnamese players are playing well at the 2025 World Youth Championship in Indonesia. We have our own forecast and some of the current squad's athletes are capable of developing their skills most effectively."

General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong once analyzed that Vietnamese volleyball in general and Vietnamese women's volleyball in particular have never lost their desire to conquer international achievements. However, each tournament has a different competitive nature, so athletes focus on their expertise, said Mr. Le Tri Truong.

The Vietnam National Volleyball Championship is attracting many foreign players to sign competition contracts. In return, Vietnamese women's volleyball lacks players who are signed contracts to compete abroad. Striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is an athlete who will continue to compete in Japan in the coming time. In addition to her, national team player Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen were signed by a number of teams outside of Vietnam. Above all, the ability will determine the playing position of the players.

Mr. Le Tri Truong believes that the fact that Vietnamese athletes sign contracts to compete abroad does not completely represent the development of Vietnamese volleyball. We need more time to shape our expertise.

Each unit has the need and goal of training athletes to compete in national tournaments. We believe that helping volleyball develop professionally still lies in people, said Mr. Le Tri Truong.

Vietnamese volleyball painfully won the SEA Games Gold Medal. With the pressure to ensure professional results, the coach must send the best force to compete in the Southeast Asian Games. The U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team is competing for the top spot with many opponents. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet affirmed that his players will participate in the 2025 World Championship with the goal of achieving the best results. However, the SEA Games task must be completed. Currently, the players of the two Vietnamese women's volleyball teams are the ones with the best expertise.

In September 2025, Vietnamese volleyball with Tran Thi Thanh Thuy will go to Japan. Experts say that volleyball is a special sport, but athletes who want to develop remarkably must compete abroad.
