Women's team has a series of incidents in Thailand
Today (December 8), the Vietnam women's volleyball team traveled to Thailand to prepare to enter the journey at the 33rd SEA Games. However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have continuously encountered problems on the first day of arriving in the country due to shortcomings from the organizing committee.
First, Thanh Thuy and the whole team had to wait more than 2 hours at the airport. The reason was that the organizers had initially prepared a car to welcome the team. But after the Vietnamese team sent the exact number of members back, the organizing committee decided to merge the group with another team from the Philippine team.
The problem arose when the total number of people in both teams exceeded the capacity of the car (only 40 seats). Due to the lack of space for the car, the Vietnam women's volleyball team had to wait at the airport for more than an hour.
After that, the organizers sent another car. However, at the airport, the new car that was destined for the Vietnam national team was arranged by the organizing committee for the Malaysia national team to take the lead. For this reason, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team continue to fall into a situation where there are no vehicles to move and have to wait again. The total waiting time of the whole team was more than 2 hours.

Not stopping there, when the Vietnamese women's volleyball team returned to the hotel, they received information that the room number allocated to the team was not enough. Therefore, all members continued to have to wait, could not get a room and rest according to plan after a long journey.
Up to now, the entire team has been given stable accommodation by the organizing committee.
Thanh Thuy receives compliments
At the 33rd SEA Games, the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continued to be trusted by the coaching staff to be chosen as the captain of the Vietnam women's volleyball team. Sharing about the performance of the 1997-born hitter, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: "I have followed Thanh Thuy competing in Japan and see that she has gradually regained her physical strength, competitive spirit as well as performance after a period of injury.
I personally think Thuy is almost 100% of her peak 2-3 years ago when she had not suffered an injury. This is a good sign for Thuy herself as well as the Vietnam women's volleyball team".

In the group stage of the 33rd SEA Games, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will meet Myanmar, Malaysia and Indonesia in turn. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that the first two matches will be quite easy for his players before entering the group stage decision match against Indonesia.
