The most serious case was a patient named Hai, with a cervical spine injury, a chest injury, a broken pelvis and a broken cervical vertebrae, according to the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital.The family asked to transfer the patient to Viet Duc Hospital for further treatment.
At the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital, 2 other victims, Mr. Hieu (in the head and chest area, having had stitched the wound) and 1 person with a broken cake bone are being monitored and treated.
On the same day, Mr. Phan Phong Phu - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province visited the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi to visit and encourage the victims.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, in the early morning of December 8, a tractor-trailer was traveling on the Bung - Van Ninh Expressway when it reached Ca village (Hoan Lao commune) when it encountered an accident. Then, a truck traveling behind crashed into a tractor-trailer.
The collision caused 2 people to die on the spot and 4 people to be injured. The injured victims were taken to the emergency room immediately.
