Libero Thanh Lien returns
Libero Le Thi Thanh Lien will officially "reappear" with Duc Giang Chemicals Club to participate in the 2024 Asian Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand.
She is considered a player with good skills, good defense, and has been the best libero of the Vietnam national championship for many years. After a very successful 2023 with historic achievements with the Vietnam women's team, the girl from Nghe An retired from competition since the beginning of 2024, leaving a big "hole" for Mr. Huyen's team in the important libero position.
Thanh Lien's return is good news for fans of Duc Giang Chemicals. In the upcoming tournament, she and her team are in Group A with Nakhonratchasima QminC VC (Thailand), Kuanysh VC (Kazakhstan), Kwai Tsing (Hong Kong - China).
Vietnam women's team supports flood victims
Recently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team donated 10 million VND to the program "Tomorrow is Sunny" to support and help people affected by storm Yagi and subsequent floods.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has completed its mission in 2024. Currently, the players have returned to their home clubs to prepare for phase II of the 2024 national championship. Duc Giang Chemicals and LPB Ninh Binh will participate in the 2024 Asian Club Championship in Thailand at the end of September.
Indonesia is the host of the U21 World Cup
Recently, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced that the Southeast Asian country Indonesia will be the host of the 2025 U21 Women's World Championship. Thus, young Indonesian women's volleyball players will have a place for the host team of this tournament.
In next year's tournament, Southeast Asia will have 3 representatives: Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. With impressive achievements at the 2024 Asian U20 Women's Championship, the Vietnamese U20 Women's Team will also have the right to participate in the 2025 World U21 Women's Championship for the first time. The young girls of the country's volleyball team will have the opportunity to compete with the strongest youth teams in the world in this tournament.
