Currently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has completed its mission in 2024. The players returned to their home clubs.
Striker Tran Thi Tu Linh has returned to the Duc Giang Chemicals team and continues her international competition duties. This team and LPB Ninh Binh are the two representatives of Vietnam participating in the 2024 Asian Club Volleyball Championship.
According to the draw results, Duc Giang Chemicals is in group A with the teams Nakhonratchasima QminC VC (Thailand), Kuanysh VC (Kazakhstan), Kwai Tsing (Hong Kong - China).
Thus, Tu Linh will meet Kuanysh VC (Kazakhstan) again - the team that just faced the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at VTV Cup 2024, which took place last August in Ninh Binh. The striker born in 1999 will certainly still be a pillar of the club in the upcoming continental tournament.
When Tu Linh combines with the long-time Thai setter Tichaya Bonlert, as well as experienced players like Bich Thuy or Ly Thi Luyen, Duc Giang Chemicals will have more opportunities to pass the group stage.
Vietnam's representative has more confidence when in their squad, Tu Linh is a player whose skills are improving through each tournament.
She had a successful year with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team when she participated in 5 international tournaments and achieved impressive achievements such as winning the AVC Challenge Cup, 3rd place in the FIVB Challenger Cup, 2nd place in the SEA V.League, 5th place in the Future Stars (friendly) and 2nd place in the VTV Cup.
Previously, the player who was playing for Duc Giang Chemicals was remembered for his ideal height (1m80), jumping power of 2m90, and blocking power of 2m84. The main attacker born in 1999 always had powerful smashes and effective first-step catches.
However, in 2024, when the Vietnamese team has the main hitter, opposite setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, and middle blocker Nguyen Thi Trinh, who always have stable performance, Tu Linh seems to have retreated to support her teammates in defensive situations and taking the first step.
She is always a player with accurate defense, a prestigious stopper of the Vietnam team in the back row next to libero Khanh Dang. Tu Linh always shows a fiery fighting spirit and desire every time she is on the field.
It was Tu Linh's focused play that helped coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team stabilize their playing style, allowing Lam Oanh to have favorable passes to hitters like Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy...
The 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship kicks off in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from September 22 to September 29. Fans are hoping that both LPB Ninh Binh and Duc Giang Chemicals will have impressive performances and achieve high results in the continental arena.
