Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team present in Thailand
Main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates arrived in Thailand on the afternoon of August 4.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team moves to Chiangmai (Thailand) to participate in the 2nd leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament.
The tournament will kick off on August 7. Early arrival in Chiangmai (Thailand) helps Vietnamese women's volleyball players stabilize accommodation and have a training schedule before competition.
In this leg, main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to take on the role of captain.
In addition to her, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team also has faces going to Thailand: Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Dinh Thi Van, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Le Thi Yen, Doan Thi Xuan, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Dinh Thi Thuy, Pham Quynh Huong, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Luu Thi Hue, Le Thuy Linh and Ly Thi Luyen.
Head coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and the players of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team set a goal to strive to achieve the highest results in Thailand.
In history, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has never won against the Thai women's team at official international tournaments when competing in Thailand.
Thoai Khuong welcomes his first child
Former national player Pham Thoai Khuong sent good news to welcome his first child to be born on August 4.
This setter player posted a photo with his family presenting the newborn baby.
Friends in the volleyball community and fans sent wishes to Thoai Khuong's family for this joy.
Last year, Thoai Khuong was gathered with the Vietnamese men's volleyball team to prepare for SEA Games 33. However, the player asked to withdraw in the decisive stage.
This year, Thoai Khuong wears the men's volleyball team jersey of Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the 2026 National Club Championship.
This is one of the players playing as a setter with good tactics, highly appreciated by experts for his form.
Quynh Huong's professional plan
Young main attacker Pham Quynh Huong has been present in the Vietnamese women's volleyball team participating in stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament in Thailand.
Meaning, this hitter will not participate in the 2026 National Youth Championship with the managing team Binh Chung Thong Tin.
Previously, Quynh Huong competed in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship in Ninh Binh.
However, in September, it is expected that the coaching staff of the Binh Chung Thong Tin women's volleyball team will still develop a plan for Quynh Huong to be one of the players participating in the 2026 National U23 Volleyball Tournament.
The plan of the managing team for Quynh Huong has not been specifically disclosed.
In addition to her role as a player of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team, Pham Quynh Huong has been a member of the first line of the Information Corps team participating in the 2026 National Club Championship.
