Women's volleyball clubs actively practice before Lunar New Year

HOÀNG HUÊ |

Women's volleyball clubs are still actively practicing and preparing professionally before the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025.

VTV Binh Dien Long An is the current champion of the national volleyball championship. As Tet approaches, coach Thai Quang Lai and his team are still diligently practicing to prepare for the 2025 season, which will start right after the end of the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the schedule, the Western team will participate in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 in Ninh Binh (from March 5 to March 10), then go to phase 1 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

With continuous professional duties after the break, VTV Binh Dien Long An will practice and the players will leave the team near Tet. Many players are local so they can practice with peace of mind. For players who live far away, the team's coaching staff will discuss to arrange an early leave schedule to help them travel home for Tet with peace of mind.

Coach Thai Quang Lai said: "The teams of this year's championship are actively preparing professionally. We are very careful and make the most of our time to practice, but above all, we keep the players in a comfortable mental state. However, as the reigning national champion, the team is somewhat under no small amount of pressure in this year's domestic tournaments."

2024 witnessed the impressive return of veteran middle blocker Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa in the second phase of the national volleyball championship. However, at present, she is still focusing on coaching, so Mr. Thai Quang Lai and his colleagues will review and make a list of the best players of VTV Binh Dien Long An to compete in the new season.

Another team that will start the new season with the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 is the Information Corps Club. Coach Pham Van Long and his team are actively practicing and will have a Lunar New Year break after January 24 (ie 25th of the lunar calendar).

The 2024 season marked a sad achievement for the soldiers when it was the third consecutive year that they could not make it into the top 3 teams in the national championship. This year, with a change in the head coach position, the soldiers are expected to play better, regaining their position in the domestic volleyball world.

Head coach Pham Van Long once shared: "Immediately after receiving the new assignment, I, the management board and the team's coaching staff had discussions and built goals and personnel for the club. Above all, the Signal Corps promotes the fighting spirit of soldiers, competing without giving up to aim for a season with better achievements."

Meanwhile, the current runner-up of the national championship - Duc Giang Chemical Club will also rest after the 25th of the lunar calendar. Saying goodbye to coach Pham Van Long and replacing him with Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha, the players of this team are working hard to practice and get used to the new professional training programs.

"Coach Nguyen Huu Ha is no stranger to us because he has worked with the team for a long time. After the Tet holiday, the teachers also gave the players specialized exercises and a careful diet.

We will have online training sessions to boost our morale and maintain our training rhythm. This will help the players maintain their best ball feel when they return after Tet," striker Tran Tu Linh told Lao Dong.

Although the Tet holiday is approaching, female volleyball players still maintain self-discipline in training, ensuring both professional skills and increasing competitive motivation. With the 2025 national championship predicted to have fierce competition, the teams are preparing their best, aiming for impressive performances this season.
