Owner Thanh Thuy re-signed with Gunma Green Wings

Gunma Green Wings Club (Japan) officially confirmed the re-signing of the contract with main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy for the 2026-2027 season.

This will be the 2nd consecutive season that the captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will wear the jersey representing Japan.

In the new season, Thanh Thuy continues to play in the main attacking role and wears jersey number 16. With international experience and comprehensive attacking and defending ability, the striker born in 1997 is expected to continue to be an important factor in the Gunma Green Wings squad.

After completing the re-signing, Thanh Thuy expressed her joy at continuing to accompany the Japanese team. She sent thanks to the fans, and hoped that the whole team would create many memorable moments together and aim for a successful season.

Continuing to stick with Gunma Green Wings is an important milestone in Thanh Thuy's international competition journey. The Japanese volleyball environment not only helps her maintain her form, accumulate more experience, but is also a necessary preparation step before major goals with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the coming time.

Previously, Thanh Thuy played for the Gunma Green Wings team in the 2025-2026 season in Japan. She finished the tournament in April 2026 and then returned home to continue competing in the 1st round of the 2026 National Club Championship.

This year, the Japan National Championship season 2026-2027 is expected to open in October 2026. This is also the time when round 2 of the 2026 National Club Championship will be held in Vinh Long.
