Previously, the coaching staff of VTV Binh Dien Long An team wanted Thanh Thuy to participate in an international tournament in Thailand (from September 14 to September 19) before going to Japan, but she could not participate due to the need to prepare professionally for the new season.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy participated in the first phase of the 2025 National Championship with VTV Binh Dien Long An team. After that, she wore the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team jersey during her recent international missions.
The 2025 World Championship is Thanh Thuy's last task before competing in Japan. A representative of VTV Binh Dien Long An team said that the contract between Thanh Thuy and Gunma Green Wings team is 1 season. After that, the parties will negotiate the contract extension.
The 2025-2026 Japanese Volleyball Championship will be held from October 2025 to April 2026. The teams will compete in a round-robin format.
Currently, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the only Vietnamese female player competing for a volleyball team abroad. She is the captain of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team.
