The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) sent a letter to the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), wishing U17 Vietnam success in the match.

In the letter, SAFF President Yasser Al-Mishal expressed his pleasure to welcome U17 Vietnam to participate in the continental level playground, and emphasized that this is a great honor for the host country to organize an important youth football tournament.

Mr. Yasser Al-Mishal sent best wishes to the players, coaching staff and all team members, affirming that SAFF is always ready to support and create the most favorable conditions for the teams to have good preparation.

In fact, the host country's welcome was shown right from when U17 Vietnam set foot in Jeddah. The team was arranged to stay at a hotel meeting international standards, with guaranteed living, accommodation and training conditions, helping the players quickly adapt to the new environment.

In order to have the best preparation, with the facilitation from VFF, coach Cristiano Roland and his team went to Saudi Arabia two days earlier than the official schedule. The whole team took advantage of this time to adjust the time zone, get used to the climate and the field, and maintain a scientific training plan, gradually perfecting tactics.

According to the schedule, U17 Vietnam will start in Group C against U17 Yemen at 8:00 PM on May 6 local time (0:00 AM on May 7 Vietnam time). The team's other two opponents are U17 Korea and U17 UAE - teams highly rated at the tournament.

Despite facing many challenges, U17 Vietnam still sets a goal to compete hard in each match, aiming for positive results, thereby nurturing hopes of competing for a spot to participate in the 2026 U17 World Cup finals.
