President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan attended the meeting as a member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Chairman of the AFC Competition Commission and Member of the Asian Cup Organizing Committee for the 2023 - 2027 term.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mariano V. Araneta, Jr. - OCAC President, chaired, with the participation of Committee members and representatives of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) - the host country of the tournament.
With the opening date of the 2027 Asian Cup less than 450 days away, OCAC affirms its determination to ensure that all preparations are implemented according to world-class standards, towards the most successful Asian Cup in history.
At the meeting, OCAC members listened to updated reports on the progress of key items, including: Competition and auxiliary infrastructure; Organizing and operating work; Experience for fans, teams and the media.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mariano V. Araneta, Jr. emphasized: AFC aims not only to organize a successful Asian Cup, but also to create new standards in the quality, scale and influence of Asian football.
As a member of the AFC Standing Committee, Chairman of the AFC Competition Committee and Member of the Asian Cup Organizing Committee for the 2023 - 2027 term, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan and members of the Committee exchanged and contributed professional opinions, to ensure that the preparation work was carried out on schedule, in accordance with the orientation set by the AFC.
The 2027 Asian Cup finals will take place from January 7 to February 5, 2027 in 5 cities of Saudi Arabia, gathering 24 of the continent's top teams.
