The 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball Award is organized by Saigon Giai Phong newspaper. This is an annual award to honor players who have made outstanding contributions to Vietnamese football during the year.
According to information from the organizing committee, the Men's Golden Ball category, the shortlist includes 5 players: Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Dinh Bac, Nguyen Hoang Duc and Tran Trung Kien. These are all faces that have made outstanding contributions to Vietnamese football in 2025, playing consistently at both club and national team level.
The Women's Golden Ball category recorded the participation of Huynh Nhu, Ngan Thi Van Su, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Tran Thi Thuy Trang and Pham Hai Yen. These players are all pillars of the Vietnam women's team, while maintaining high performance in domestic and international tournaments.
In the Futsal Golden Ball event, 5 names were on the shortlist including Nguyen Da Hai, Chau Doan Phat, Nguyen Thinh Phat, Tu Minh Quang and Pham Van Tu. Meanwhile, the category of Outstanding Young Women's Player had short nominations including Ngoc Minh Chuyen, Luu Hoang Van, Nguyen Thi Minh Anh and Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu.
In the category of Outstanding Foreign Player, the shortlist includes Leonardo Artur, Alan Sebastiao, Patrik Le Giang and Caio Cesar. These are all foreign players who leave a clear professional mark in the V.League and domestic tournaments.
The announcement of the shortlist marks the final stage of the voting process, before the organizing committee compiles votes from experts, coaches and sports reporters.
The 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Gala will take place on December 26 at Ben Thanh Theater (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
