According to records on December 22 and 23, a group of workers reduced the area of barriers along Kim Ma Street, from Thu Le Lake to Nguyen Van Ngoc intersection, about 220m long, narrowing the width from 0.5 - 1.0m (belonging to the urban railway project No. 3 Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section).
After the fence was reduced, the Kim Ma road surface in this section was returned to be about 5 - 6m wide, helping vehicles to travel more conveniently.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan (70 years old, living in Kim Ma Street) said that the fence has been erected on Kim Ma Street for many years to construct the metro line, causing the street to be often congested, especially during rush hour.
"Up to now, the fence has been narrowed, the Kim Ma street surface is wider, people's travel has become more convenient, and traffic congestion has been reduced" - Mr. Tuan said.

In addition to the above location, the Hanoi Department of Construction also requested relevant units to urgently reduce the barrier area at a number of other construction locations: the escape well area (Kim Ma - Nui Truc intersection); the S10 station area - Cat Linh station (from Giang Vo intersection to house number 27 Cat Linh); the S11 station - Van Mieu station area (on Quoc Tu Giam street); the S12 station area, on the lane change road on Tran Hung Dao street, the contractor will reduce the barrier area on Tran Hung Dao street (from Tran Binh Trong - Tran Hung Dao street).
The purpose of this, according to the Hanoi Department of Construction, is to reduce traffic congestion.

The No. 3 urban railway project, Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section, is 12.5 km long, with 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations. Of which, the Nhon - Cau Giay elevated section is 8.5 km long and the Cau Giay - Hanoi Railway Station underground section is 4 km long.
Route: Starting point Nhon - along National Highway 32 - Cau Dien - Mai Dich - intersection with Ring Road 3 - Cau Giay (intersection with Ring Road 2) - Kim Ma - Cat Linh - Quoc Tu Giam - Hanoi Station (on Tran Hung Dao Street).
The train from S8 Station (Thu Le) will go down under the tunnel (the slope was built next to Daewoo Hotel) and then enter tunnel S9, passing through S10, S11, S12 (the last station, opposite Hanoi Station).
The project started in 2009, planned to be completed in 2015, but has been delayed many times. On August 8, 2024, the Nhon - Cau Giay elevated section began commercial activities.
Regarding the progress of the underground section, on December 1, the TBM No. 1 tunnel excavator, called "Than Phat", officially reached the finish line at S12 Station - Hanoi Railway Station, completing the entire drilling journey through the first 4 underground stations of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway project.
The "Dare" TBM2 machine is also making efforts to construct the remaining tunnel section. TBM2 is currently continuing its journey to S11 station. As of early December, the overall construction progress of the CP03-tonel package and underground stations reached more than 72%.
