Sharing at the press conference before the first leg final match with Thailand, Do Hoang Hen said that the whole team has prepared carefully and is heading towards the important time of the tournament.
I think the team is trying very hard for this moment. The whole team has prepared very well and is ready. We are still doing our job well, and I believe this is the right time. We need to play really well in the first match (first leg), then return to Vietnam and complete the goal here," Hoang Hen shared.
This is the first time this midfielder has participated in the ASEAN Cup with the Vietnamese national team. Hoang Hen believes that wearing the national team jersey and representing Vietnam brings special emotions.
Of course, for me this is very special. This is my first tournament and the whole team had the opportunity to win the championship when entering the final. Therefore, it is really special. Being able to represent Vietnam is a great thing. I have lived here for a long time, I love Vietnam, love the people here and would be very happy if we brought this gift to the fans, especially in the second leg at home in front of the cheers of the audience," said Do Hoang Hen.
Notably, when asked about personal goals and the ability to score against Thailand, Hoang Hen puts team interests above personal imprint.
The most important thing for me is that the Vietnamese team wins. Whoever scores is not too important. As for the tournament, it is very special because this is my first tournament with the Vietnamese team. Representing a country that I consider my second homeland is extremely wonderful, and I really want to win the championship," Hoang Hen emphasized.
When asked how he would celebrate if he scored, the midfielder of the Vietnamese national team replied humorously: "I think I'll think about it then".
Before the important match against Thailand, Hoang Hen also sent words to Vietnamese fans and affirmed that the cheers of the audience is a great source of motivation for the whole team.
I want to send a message that, please continue to cheer for us. Vietnamese fans play an extremely important role for the team. We know that fans always accompany and support us, so we will try our best. The strength of the team lies in the fact that anyone who steps onto the field will dedicate 100% of their ability.
