The coaching staff of the Hanoi men's volleyball team has reached an agreement to continue hiring Cambodian main hitter Kuon Mom to participate in round 1 of the 2026 National Championship.
Through investigation, this hitter agreed to return to Vietnam to compete in April. Currently, Kuon Mom is competing in the Cambodian National Championship. After the tournament ends, Kuon Mom has enough time to come to Vietnam to compete.
Last year, Kuon Mom wore the Hanoi men's team jersey to participate in round 1 of the 2025 National Championship. This main attacker and the team successfully stayed in the league after the tournament closed.
Kuon Mom is a player for the Cambodian Men's Volleyball Team. This hitter has played in several seasons for teams in Vietnam before playing for the Hanoi team.
Achieving an agreement with Kuon Mom means that Hanoi team is also the first team in the men's division to find a suitable foreign player.
According to the 2026 National Championship Regulations, each team is allowed to register a maximum of 2 foreign players, but only 1 player is allowed to play at any time. The regulations are also strict, foreign players of national championship teams will not be matched with foreign players in national volleyball league A teams.
Kuon Mom has been recognized as the first foreign player that the Hanoi men's team has hired to strengthen forces in recent years.
