Vietnamese youth women's volleyball does not have a direct spot to participate in the 2026 AFC U18 Women's Championship but must play in the qualifying round.

The Asian Volleyball Federation did not grant an official slot for young Vietnamese women's volleyball to participate in the 2026 AFC U18 Women's Championship held in Thailand from July 1 to July 7.

The Vietnam U18 women's volleyball team is planned by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to participate in this tournament. Players will have to participate in the Southeast Asian qualifiers. The qualifying program has not announced the specific time.

Southeast Asia region will have 3 teams expected to compete for 2 official slots to participate in the 2025 AFC U18 Women's Championship: U18 Vietnam, U18 Indonesia and U18 Malaysia. The U18 Thailand team is the host, so they are officially qualified to compete in this tournament.

In addition, the U18 teams of China, Japan, Taiwan (China), South Korea and Iran are also officially qualified. The Asian Volleyball Federation awarded the above slot based on the performance of the teams from the 2024 AFC U18 Women's Championship. Vietnamese youth women's volleyball does not participate in this tournament.

In addition to Southeast Asia, teams from Central Asia, Asia-Oceania, West Asia, East Asia and West Asia (not named in the officially qualified list) must also compete in the qualifying round.

The last time the Vietnam Volleyball Federation sent young players to compete in the AFC U18 Championship was in 2014. At that time, we ranked 12th/13 participating teams.
