Many volleyball players returned to play after the 2026 Tet holiday and village festivals have begun to open spring.

On February 21 (the 5th day of Tet), the Men's Volleyball Tournament of Dong Ky Village Festival (Bac Ninh) and the Men's Volleyball Tournament of Co Loa Association (Hanoi) were competed.

These are considered the 2 earliest village festival tournaments this year. A large number of fans were present to watch many players compete right when the festival tournament was held.

At the beginning of the new year, many professional volleyball players of Vietnam such as Dinh Van Duy, Le Trung Thanh, Bui Van Cuong, Tran Minh Khuyen, Cao Duc Hoang, Ly Van Truong, Nguyen Xuan Duc... all participate in village festivals.

Notably at the Dong Ky Village Festival Men's Volleyball Tournament (Bac Ninh), Russian foreign hitter Iurii Kruzhkov returned to Vietnam to compete. Previously, Iurii used to play in the national championship for the Da Nang men's team.

Volleyball tournaments in the village festival program will usually have matches for 1 day. This is considered a program for many players to warm up, regain the feeling of competing after the Tet holiday before returning to focused training to participate in professional volleyball tournaments indoors.

This year, the Co Loa Men's Volleyball Tournament (Hanoi) has a prize of 100 million VND for the champion team.

After these tournaments, some village volleyball tournaments will continue to be organized in many areas in the North to allow male and female players to participate in increased professional competition.
