After round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship, the Hanoi women's team will participate in the Hung Vuong Cup 2026 in Phu Tho.
According to Lao Dong's investigation, on April 17, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet added 1 foreign player, strikers Marie Scholzel.
Marie Scholzel has a height of 1m90, playing as a middle blocker. The hitter is a player of the German women's volleyball team. This player has arrived in Vietnam. Marie Scholzel is considered to be the person who will replace the position left by middle blocker Le Thuy Linh of the Hanoi women's team due to an injury in Dong Anh (Hanoi) recently.
The Hung Vuong Cup does not limit bringing foreign players onto the field. Therefore, teams can bring 2 foreign players onto the field at the same time. This happened at the Hung Vuong Cup 2025.
Hanoi team has main attacker Ivana Vanjak (Germany) competing in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship currently held in Dong Anh (Hanoi).
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team has had 6 victories so far and is holding the No. 1 position in the women's group. The team also has a final match in round 1 with Hung Yen on April 18.
With the current results in Dong Anh (Hanoi), the Hanoi women's team is definitely guaranteed a spot to participate in the Hung Vuong Cup 2026. The tournament takes place from April 23 to April 25, for 4 men's teams and 4 women's teams with the best results in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship.
