On November 17, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan sent a congratulatory letter and a reward of VND300 million to the Ho Chi Minh City women's club for their excellent competition results, soon winning the quarter-finals of the AFC Women's Champions League 2025-2026 (Asian Women's Cup C1).
After 2 impressive matches, Ho Chi Minh City women's club has 6 points (1-1 win over Stallion Laguna; 2-0 win over Lion City Sailors), and soon qualified for the quarter-finals, although they still have 1 final match of the group stage against Melbourne City from Australia.
The letter of commendation from the VFF President emphasized that this is the second consecutive season that the Ho Chi Minh City women's team has qualified for the quarterfinals, continuing to affirm its mettle and ability in the continental arena. This achievement is a testament to the strong professional capacity, solidarity, and resilience of the club team. This is also a worthy result for the continuous efforts of the board of directors, coaching staff and players in the preparation and competition process, contributing to enhancing the image and position of Vietnamese women's football in the international arena.
