On the sidelines of the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for the VIII term (2026-2031), VFV also confirmed the first sponsoring partner exclusively for the men's indoor volleyball team.
Accordingly, PV Gas will accompany the men's team from 2026, marking the beginning of building specialized resources for the men's team.
Having a private sponsor is considered an important factor in the context that the team is aiming for a long-term development roadmap. Representatives of the professional board said that this support will help improve training and competition conditions as well as create room for professional investment in the next stages.
In 2026, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team sets out 2 main tasks: SEA V.League and the Asian Championship. In parallel, the plan to hire foreign experts for the head coach position is also being considered to improve quality and gradually approach modern training methods.
It is expected that the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will gather in mid-May to prepare for international tournaments. The training and competition program will be developed by the coaching staff, then submitted to the sports management agency for approval before implementation.
At the regional level, the long-term goal of the team is to aim for SEA Games 34 with the expectation of improving achievements. Previously, at SEA Games 33 in Thailand, the Vietnamese men's team only ranked 4th overall.
Having a specialized sponsor and orienting professional development is considered the first steps to restructure the team. At a time when regional teams are increasing investment, Vietnamese men's volleyball needs to build a stable foundation to aim for long-term goals at both regional and continental levels.
