Also attending the ceremony with the team were Mr. Duong Hoang Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, representative of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) along with local leaders and sports officials.
At the Kinh Thien Palace on the top of Nghia Linh Mountain, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates, coaching staff and the U23 Vietnam team offered incense to commemorate the merits of the Hung Kings, and at the same time reported on the proud achievements that Vietnamese football has achieved.

Notable examples include the 2018 U23 Asian Cup runner-up in Changzhou (China), winning the SEA Games gold medal twice in 2019 and 2022, and being crowned 3 times in a row at the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, most recently in Indonesia in 2025.
In front of the sponsors, coach Kim Sang-sik and all the players expressed their determination to unite, constantly practice, and compete with all their might for the national flag.
The whole team aims to not only pass Group C of the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers taking place at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) from September 3 to 9, but also strive to give fans dramatic and quality matches, contributing to affirming the increasingly solid position of Vietnamese football in the regional and continental arena.
At the ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province Duong Hoang Huong and delegates presented flowers to congratulate and send wishes to coach Kim Sang-sik and his team for successful and memorable competition days in the sacred Fatherland.

The incense offering to commemorate King Hung before the tournament is a traditional beauty of national teams, not only a gratitude to the origin of the nation, but also adds spirit and will to the teams in the new journey.
With the support of fans across the country, the U23 Vietnam team is confidently embarking on a challenging journey in the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers, and at the same time looking forward to the 33rd SEA Games.
