Brazilian player Geovane Magno has officially become a Vietnamese citizen after completing the necessary legal procedures. He will use the Vietnamese name Nguyen Tai Loc in competition activities and official registration.
Geovane Magno was born in 1994, is 1.88 m tall, and used to play in the V.League for many clubs such as Saigon FC, Hanoi FC, Hong Linh Ha Tinh and The Cong Viettel. This player is highly appreciated for his technical foundation, speed and flexible ability to play in attack, and can play the role of striker or attacking midfielder.
From the 2025-2026 season, Geovane joined Ninh Binh club and quickly became an important factor in the squad. After 20 rounds, he scored 7 goals, being the main striker of the team.
Although he already has Vietnamese citizenship, Nguyen Tai Loc still needs to wait until the next season to be registered to play as a domestic player in the V.League. In addition, the Vietnam Football Federation is completing relevant procedures to submit to FIFA to request a transfer of international playing status, in order to help this player qualify for the Vietnamese national team.
In the context that the Vietnamese national team is looking for more options to strengthen the attack, the appearance of Nguyen Tai Loc is expected to bring more professional options. If the necessary procedures are completed, this striker can become a noteworthy option towards major tournaments in the near future, including the ASEAN Cup 2026.
