The golf training program at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship Academy will be held from May 24 to May 30 in New Zealand.
The invitation was sent from organizations including The R&A, Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation and The Masters Tournament, with the aim of finding and supporting potential amateur talents in Asia - Pacific.
Through the nomination of the Vietnam Golf Association - VGA, young golfer Nguyen Trong Hoang was given the opportunity to participate in the training program.
Information said that at the training program, golfers will be comprehensively trained in techniques, physical strength, tactics and competition psychology under the guidance of an international coaching team. This is an opportunity for young faces to improve their expertise, accumulate experience in a professional training environment, towards large playgrounds in the region.
Nguyen Trong Hoang is one of the promising young golfers of Vietnam.
This golfer participated in SEA Games 33 in Thailand and won a team bronze medal. Last year, Trong Hoang won the men's event at the 2025 Amateur Golf Championship. Recently, this golfer participated in the Vietnam Masters 2026 Golf Tournament.
Previously, Vietnamese golf had many young faces participating in the professional training program such as Nguyen Bao Long, Dang Quang Anh (in 2019), Nguyen Dang Minh, Nguyen Anh Minh (2022), Nguyen Dang Minh, Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung (2023), Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, Doan Uy (2025).
