The Open Championship golf tournament is one of the prestigious tournaments of world golf and belongs to the system of 4 most prestigious tournaments in the world (major golf).
The Open Championship 2026 golf tournament has awarded an invitation to participate in the operation to Mr. Bach Cuong Khang. Currently, Mr. Bach Cuong Khang is holding the role of Chairman of the National Referee Council of the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA).
Information from VGA also said that Mr. Bach Cuong Khang is the only and first case of Vietnamese golf to reach The Open Championship 2026.
The Open Championship 2026 competition program will be held in the UK from July 16 to July 19. The system of prestigious world golf tournaments includes: The Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open (June), The Open Championship.
This year, Vietnamese golf organizes a system of many tournaments in the professional competition program. Among them, the first tournament is Vietnam Masters 2026 which took place in Tay Ninh in mid-March.
In April, the Trang An Classic 2026 golf tournament will be held and then the Emerald Cup 2026 rounds. The final round of the Emerald Cup 2026 will take place in October.
Referee-in-chief Bach Cuong Khang is experienced in competition rules and always accompanies amateur and professional golf tournaments held in Vietnam.
Last year at SEA Games 33, Mr. Bach Cuong Khang, representative of Vietnamese golf, participated in the management of golf at the Games.
