The Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has just issued sanctioning decisions related to round 24 of V.League 2025-2026 and round 20 of the National First Division League 2025-2026.
Accordingly, coach Van Sy Son of Song Lam Nghe An was fined 10 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 2 matches for reacting to the referee and the tournament organizers in the match between Song Lam Nghe An and Becamex TPHCM on May 24.
With the season only 2 rounds left, the strategist of the Nghe team will not be able to directly direct until the end of the 2025-2026 season. However, Song Lam Nghe An has early completed the relegation target after winning against Becamex TPHCM in the recent round.
In addition to the case of Mr. Van Sy Son being disciplined, coach Nguyen Viet Thang of Truong Tuoi Dong Nai will also be absent from round 21 of the National First Division League 2025-2026. The former Vietnamese national team player was banned from directing in the match against Long An because he received 3 yellow cards.
Regarding Truong Tuoi Dong Nai club, player Nguyen Huu Tuan of Dong Nai was fined 10 million VND and suspended for 2 matches for a serious foul on an opposing player in the match against Ho Chi Minh City club on May 22.
In another development, the organizers of the match of SHB Da Nang were fined 20 million VND for allowing violations of regulations in the match against Hai Phong on May 23.
