According to Lao Dong, coach Nguyen Viet Thang has reached a preliminary agreement with the Southeast team and is expected to officially debut in the near future.
This is an important step in the plan to rebuild the force and towards the goal of winning the right to play in the V.League of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc club.
Before that, coach Viet Thang had an impressive season with Phu Dong Ninh Binh club, helping this team win the First Division championship 3 rounds early and be the only team unbeaten throughout the season.
Under his leadership, Phu Dong Ninh Binh won 58 points after 20 rounds, won 19 matches and only drew 1. Notably, Ninh Binh defeated Binh Phuoc in both matches in the First Division last season.
Binh Phuoc's move towards coach Viet Thang is considered a strategic step. With experience as an assistant at the national team and studying as a Pro coach in Japan, he is expected to help this team realize their ambition to play in the V.League.
The Binh Phuoc squad currently owns many quality players such as Cong Phuong, Ho Tuan Tai, Tran Phi Son, Luu Tu Nhan, and is actively negotiating with a number of other names such as Luong Xuan Truong, Nguyen Phong Hong Duy and Le Van Son.
If the deal is completed, coach Viet Thang will become an important piece in the plan to build an ambitious squad of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc in the next season.
