On the morning of September 14, Quang Tri Provincial Police organized the Marathon "80 years of Quang Tri Provincial Police - Impressive a journey", attracting more than 1,000 athletes from inside and outside the province to participate.
In his opening speech, Colonel Nguyen Tien Hoang Anh - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police emphasized: "The Marathon is not only a community sports activity but also demonstrates the solidarity and attachment between the police force and the people. This is also an opportunity for officers and soldiers to practice physical exercise, affirm their good spirit to build and defend the Fatherland".
The race has the participation of leaders and commanders of the police of units, members of the Provincial People's Public Security Former Association, and a large number of people who are passionate about running. Athletes compete in an exciting, honest, and noble atmosphere; leaving many beautiful images, contributing to spreading the movement of physical exercise and sports following the example of Uncle Ho.
The organizing committee acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of the coordinating forces; thanked the support of sponsoring units and enterprises and the enthusiastic support of the people. Due to the impact of storm No. 6, the tournament had to be postponed to ensure safety, but still received sharing and support from athletes.
