On August 18, at Nguyen Van Linh Square (Pho Hien ward), Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee organized the Opening Ceremony of the X Hung Yen Provincial Sports Festival (TDTT) 2026.
The Provincial Sports Festival is held periodically every 4 years, is an important sports event, contributing to promoting the movement of sports training in all classes of people.
Through the congresses, the sports movement in the province has increasingly developed, spread widely, attracting a large number of people to participate, contributing to improving health and spiritual life.
The X Hung Yen Provincial Sports Festival in 2026 takes place from July 15 to September 15, 2026, including the opening ceremony and competitions in 18 sports. The Games attracted more than 6,500 athletes from 2 sectors of Public Security, Army and 18 clusters to compete.
At the opening ceremony, the parade of the Ritual Block and the parade blocks demonstrating force was organized with the participation of 36 blocks. Leading were the National Flag, Congress Flag, portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, Red Flag Block and Congress Flag Block.
Next are the blocks representing the Army, Police, veterans, intellectuals, education and training, health, universities, colleges, entrepreneurs, workers, farmers, women, the elderly, union members, youth; along with the athletes, referees and 18 competition clusters.
The parade demonstrated the widespread development of the sports movement, the spirit of solidarity and the vibrant atmosphere towards the Congress.
The opening ceremony also had a traditional torch relay ceremony, opening ceremony and a synchronous art performance program, creating a solemn and exciting atmosphere, spreading the spirit of sports training among the people.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of athletes and referees performed the oath-taking ceremony, expressing their determination to compete with a noble, united, and honest spirit; strictly complying with the regulations and rules of competition; striving to dedicate all their abilities for the colors of the unit and the overall success of the Games.
The referee team is committed to officiating the competitions with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring impartiality, objectivity, honesty, and strict compliance with professional regulations, laws and the Congress's charter.
Closing the opening ceremony was a synchronized art performance with the theme "Aspiration to reach higher - Hung Yen's strength", including 3 chapters: "Hung Yen - a place of convergence of cultural traditions, civilization, patriotism and revolution"; "Physics and sports improve the quality of human resources"; "Hung Yen firmly steps into a new era".
The X Hung Yen Provincial Sports Festival is an opportunity to show the strength and development of the sports movement in the province; and at the same time evaluate the results of sports development in all classes of people and physical education in schools.
Through the Congress, athletes have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and improve their competition level; and at the same time contribute to discovering and selecting outstanding factors to supplement the force for high-performance sports.
