Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared after the friendly match with the Kenyan team at Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi): Bich Tuyen has asked to withdraw from the 2025 World Volleyball Championship close to the departure date.
This is a regrettable absence. The Vietnam women's volleyball team with a full force (including Bich Tuyen) in 2025 has achieved many successes.
We have a united squad. We know that when Bich Tuyen is absent, the team's expertise will be affected. However, we respect the decision of individual athletes.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet affirmed that there is a plan for players to replace Bich Tuyen. However, he needs to ensure his expertise to bring suitable players to the field to compete in the 2025 World Championship.
Commenting on the opponents at the 2025 World Championship, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet expressed: The coaching staff has watched the video of the Polish and German teams very carefully. These are world-class teams. We will have difficulty playing against them.
Certainly, Vietnamese players will have difficulty in catching the ball in the first step because the delivery of the European players is very unreal. When the players minimize errors at this stage, the positions will have the ball to deploy the playing style".
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that the physical issue is the concern of the team and the coaching staff will create maximum excitement for the whole team to compete in the best results at the 2025 World Championship.
On the morning of August 20, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team went to Thailand to participate in the World Championship. The team will train for three days, before officially competing on August 23.
