In the women's event, in Group A, VTV Binh Dien Long An came back to win 3-1 against Thanh Hoa. An ineffective first step caused the Western team to lose 23-25 in set 1. In Group B, the host LPB Ninh Binh won 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-22) against Hanoi.
