On March 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong coordinated with the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Shooting Federation to organize the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 National Dyeing Championship.
Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong and representatives of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Shooting Federation.
The 2025 National Saigon Championship has the participation of 300 coaches and athletes from 11 provinces, cities and sectors across the country, including the following delegations: Army, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, People's Public Security, Dong Nai, Dak Lak, Quang Nam and host Hai Phong. Athletes will compete in individual and team events according to age groups and championship categories.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, shooting is a sport that is developing strongly across the country. Vietnam has had many athletes achieve high results in regional, continental and world tournaments. The 2025 National Saigon Championship is an opportunity for localities and sectors across the country to compete, affirm their positions, and at the same time discover and add excellent athletes to the national team, preparing for upcoming international tournaments. In addition, the tournament is also an opportunity to test and evaluate the organization capacity, improve competition management and operation in localities.
To ensure the tournament is successful, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, Tran Thi Hoang Mai, requested relevant units and members of the Organizing Committee to closely coordinate, organize carefully, ensure safety and create the most favorable conditions for athletes; Require the referee team to officiate the tournament accurately and objectively, and at the same time call on athletes to strictly comply with the Law, Charter and regulations of the Organizing Committee.
The tournament will last until March 27, 2025 at the Hai Phong Sports Training and Competition Center.
