Recently, the City Police received the task of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction management from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and the Hai Phong City Youth Union.
In response to the proposal of the City Police, the proposal was submitted to the Hai Phong City People's Committee and the Hai Phong City People's Council to approve a resolution to support funding for the City Police to take on the function of drug addiction management and post-drug management. The total support budget is VND 28,471 billion from the city budget reserve in 2025. Of which, drug rehabilitation facility No. 2 was supported with VND 13.756 billion (including funding for 81 students transferred from Thanh Xuan Labor School); Gia Minh drug rehabilitation facility was supported with VND 14.715 billion.
The funding support is based on the principle of arranging a full regime for 3 months (food, medicine, personal necessities, etc.) for the subjects (March, April, May 2025). At the same time, 70% of the funding needs will be arranged for officers, paying debts until the end of February 2025 according to the data handed over between Hai Phong City Police and units and contracted administrative costs according to regulations.
