Golf tournament "For Vietnamese children" 2024 kicks off

The 2024 "For Vietnamese Children" golf tournament has the participation of more than 250 golfers.

On October 12, the 17th annual charity golf tournament "For Vietnamese Children" in 2024 took place at Kings Course and Mountain View at Kings Island Golf Resort (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Trong Minh - Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper shared: “For 17 years - through many ups and downs, the business community and kind hearts have always accompanied Investment Newspaper to organize the Charity Golf Tournament for Vietnamese Children and make each swing contain humanistic meaning and practical encouragement value for students in difficult circumstances to strive to achieve good academic results.

In particular, this year, the money raised through the tournament will be prioritized to fund the reconstruction of schools and support students in localities affected by the recent Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3). In addition to the scholarship fund, Dau Tu Newspaper will connect sponsors to accompany these activities.

Accordingly, at the Award Gala, the organizing committee will award 6 full scholarships in 2024, worth 10 million VND/scholarship to 6 students of the University of Transport and the Academy of Policy and Development.

In addition, the organizers awarded 200 million VND to the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund.

Bui Thi Xuan Mai - a third -year student, Applied Mathematics, University of Transport, said: “This is the second year I receive the annual charity golf scholarship for Vietnamese children, but still intact the thrilling emotions, expected as the first year of the scholarship.

The money has helped me pay for my accommodation and part of my tuition. This year, the golf scholarship will help me save a lot of money to pay for my tuition this school year."
