Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was in tears when a fan gave him a picture before he left at the end of this month.
The German coach is about to end his nearly 9-year tenure at Liverpool after saying he was "exhausted" in an emotional message to fans announcing his departure.
In a shocking statement in January, Klopp even shared the possibility of him completely quitting his football management job - but said he needed more time before making a final decision.
Liverpool fan, painter Abigail Rudkin, who specializes in football-related works, has painted a painting commemorating his time at Anfield.
She spent 2 months creating a work with the words "You will never be alone" as the slogan of the port city football team, and "Danke Jurgen".
She visited Liverpool's training ground on Thursday (May 2) and presented Klopp with a painting.
On his personal page, the 23-year-old artist shared: "Today is the best day. After many years of painting Jurgen, I finally got to show him my work.
He said we need a video! Let's film a video." I was completely shocked.
The cutest person I have ever met. Hopefully this is not the last time he has seen me.
Receiving the gift and affection from the fans, Klopp was overwhelmed and said: I like the painting. When I saw it, I was in tears.
I don't have much skills [in painting] but I see talent in painting. Abigail, you are clearly a real talent and I wish you all the best.
Klopp said he had informed the club of his decision to part ways in November last year - and he revealed that when discussing transfer targets for next summer.
When we sat there talking about potential signings, pre-season training and where we could go, the thought suddenly came to us, Im not sure Im here anymore and I was surprised by that, he said.
Klopp will have a mixed happy ending during his time at Liverpool, as the club may miss the Premier League title this season after a series of poor performances in recent weeks.
However, the Merseyside side have won a trophy earlier this year after beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
This weekend, Liverpool - 3rd in the Premier League rankings - will visit Tottenham.
Klopp's successor from next season is Arne Slot.
