According to information from Spanish media, Yamal's basic salary after signing a new contract is 15 million euros per season. If he completes the competition targets and achieves the club's expectations, his total income could reach 20 million euros/year.
The contract runs until the summer of 2031, with a release clause worth 1 billion euros. This is the highest level in Barcelona's history.
Previously, Lewandowski was the highest-paid player at Barca since joining in 2022. In the first 3 seasons, the Polish striker received a basic salary of 16 million euros, not including bonuses.
Last season, his total income was nearly 30 million euros. However, according to the initial agreement with the club, Lewandowski's basic salary will be reduced to 13 million euros in the final year of his contract.
This change creates conditions for Yamal to officially surpass Lewandowski in terms of salary at Barcelona. Before signing a new contract, Yamal only received 1.6 million euros per season.
Barca's absolute trust in Yamal, both in terms of expertise and finances, shows his growing role in the team's long-term development plan. From an outstanding young talent at La Masia, Yamal has now become one of the most anticipated stars at Camp Nou.
