Sports leaders receive opinions from athletes ahead of the 33rd SEA Games

The leaders of the Department of Physical Education and Sports met directly with representatives of the National Sports Teams preparing for the 33rd SEA Games.

On September 17, Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet received comments from representatives of coaches and athletes of the National Sports Teams preparing for the 33rd SEA Games at the working program at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center (Hanoi).

Many opinions from the athletics, canoeing, taekwondo, karate, wushu, weightlifting, shooting, gymnastics teams... were sent to the heads of the sports industry. In which, everyone affirmed that coaches and athletes focus on training to achieve the highest results at the 33rd SEA Games.

However, many coaches hope that the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports will soon increase the number of doctors and physical therapy staff for each national sports team to ensure the health of athletes. The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports will work with the Vietnam Sports Hospital to supplement the team of doctors and physical therapists for sports health in the near future.

During the meeting, Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet requested the Training Centers to ensure the best facilities for recruiters to practice. In case any content group chooses a domestic training location that suits their needs, the leaders of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam will consider meeting them.

It is expected that from next week, the sports industry will apply a special nutrition regime of 480,000 VND/person/day for coaches and athletes preparing for the 33rd SEA Games.
