Today (July 17), the departure ceremony to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation takes place in Hanoi. Then, according to the plan, on July 23, the delegation will leave for France to prepare for the competitions.
At this year's Olympics, Vietnamese sports had 16 athletes winning tickets in 10 sports. Currently, there is a specific competition schedule for the athletes.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will open on July 26, but there are a number of competitions ahead, including Archery. Therefore, on July 25, two archers Do Thi Anh Nguyet and Le Quoc Phong will be the pioneer athletes of the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Anh Nguyet competes on the afternoon of July 25, while Quoc Phong plays in the evening (Vietnam time).
After July 26 for the Opening Ceremony, July 27 will be the competition time for Badminton - Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat compete in the men's and women's individual group rounds; Judo - Hoang Thi Tinh competes in the women's under 48kg qualifying round; Rowing - Heavyweight women's singles qualifying round by Pham Thi Hue; Shooting - Trinh Thu Vinh competes in the women's 10m air pistol qualifying round; Boxing - Vo Thi Kim Anh and Ha Thi Linh compete in the qualifying round of the women's 54kg and 60kg categories.
July 27 is also the time when the most athletes compete, because on the remaining days there will only be 1 or 2 people competing in their events.
On July 28, Le Thi Mong Tuyen competed in the women's 10m air rifle qualifying round in Shooting, Vo Thi My Tien competed in the women's 200m freestyle qualifying round in Swimming.
On July 29, there was only Nguyen Huy Hoang in Swimming, with the men's 800m freestyle qualifying round.
4 days later (August 2), the next Vietnamese athlete to compete is the pair Quoc Phong - Anh Nguyet ( Archery ) competing in the men's - women's single-string archery doubles event. And Tran Thi Nhi Yen competed in the women's 100m qualifying round in Athletics.
On August 4, Nguyen Thi That participated in the women's individual road cycling event.
Another 4 days of interruption, Trinh Van Vinh competed in the weightlifting category under 61kg.
And on August 8, Nguyen Thi Huong was the last Vietnamese athlete to compete in the 200m single canoe qualifying round of Canoeing.
The 2024 Paris Olympics ends on August 11.
