Vietnam Volleyball Federation ends consultation on the 2026 national tournament format

After the Vietnam Volleyball Federation compiles opinions on the regulations of the 2026 national championship, the manager will make a final decision.

The volleyball teams of the 2026 National Championship have given their opinions on the organization method as well as the requirements for foreign players in next year's tournament.

A representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said that after synthesizing opinions, the professional department will develop a plan to organize the 2026 National Championship to ensure the most guaranteed.

In the comments sent to the teams, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has expressed each team's views on the issue of transferring foreign players (foreign players) and the competition format in 2026. Regarding foreign players, there are 5 options proposed by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation: to transfer 1 athlete to the stadium, 1 athlete; to transfer 2 athletes, to the stadium, 1 athlete (as at present); to transfer 2 athletes, to the stadium 2 athletes; to transfer 3 athletes, to the stadium 2 athletes; other opinions.

The deadline for submitting comments to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation ended on November 10.

The 2026 National Volleyball Championship has 16 participating teams including VTV Binh Dien Long An, LPBank Ninh Binh, Information Corps, Vietinbank, Duc Giang Chemicals, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Hanoi (women) and Border Guard MB, The Cong Tan Cang, Ho Chi Minh City Police, LPBank Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Da Nang, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City (men).

Phase 2 of the 2025 National Championship saw for the first time all men's and women's teams hired foreign players to increase their competition force.

Next year, in addition to the National Volleyball Championship, many teams will have the task of attending the 10th National Sports Festival - 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
