End of the first journey
The Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 ended on April 8, the tournament was recognized by experts as the closing tournament of the first phase of high-performance competition for teams in the national playground.
Previously, the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025 and the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship were held.
Players from 8 men's teams (Bien Phong MB, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Da Nang, Lavie Long An, The Cong Tan Cang, Hanoi, LPBank Ninh Binh) and 8 women's teams (VTV Binh Dien Long An, LPBank Ninh Binh, Dong Bac Information, Vietinbank, Geleximco Thai Binh, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, Long Son Cement Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City) have the opportunity to compete in the matches through the above tournaments.
The Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 is a qualifying round for the top-level professional competition for 4 men's teams (Bien Phong MB, Ho Chi Minh City Police, The Cong Tan Cang, Da Nang) and 4 women's teams (LPBank Ninh Binh, Dong Bac Information, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Vietinbank) with the best results after the first stage of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
"After the first phase of the season, each team has had the opportunity to compete and achieve professional results for themselves. Through the competition results of each tournament, we can see some efforts to prepare forces in each team and above all, the players have been able to compete, said Mr. Le Tri Truong, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
The second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will return in October 2025. Thus, each team will have more than 5 months from now to continue to prepare professionally to be ready to return to compete most effectively.
Waiting for a return call at the end of the year
The Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup 2025 (in Ninh Binh) has organized 22 matches for the men's and women's teams. The first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship held in Dong Anh (Hanoi) has had 40 matches (20 matches for men's events, 20 matches for women's events) taking place.
The Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 has hosted 8 matches. Preliminarily, in the early stages of this year's volleyball tournament, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the local organizing committee organized 70 matches through many rounds of competition for the men's and women's teams.
“The first phase was the key to 8 male teams, 8 women's teams of Vietnamese volleyball. Because, each team was attended 5 matches at the first phase of the National Championship 2025, so they knew how their ability. In the second stage of the National Championship Championship 2025, each team still has 2 decisive matches. The team wants to make mistakes, ”said the coach of Thai Thanh Tung of the LPBank Ninh Binh women's team.
The MB Border Guard men's team and LPBank Ninh Binh women's team both won consecutive championships at the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup 2025, Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025. These two teams will maintain their position in the leading group in the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
They are the most concrete reflection of the stability of the player force and professional stability in competition even though many domestic volleyball tournaments in Vietnam are currently experiencing significant disruption due to the appearance of expensive foreign athletes. However, Vietnamese volleyball always witnessed many surprises.
The reason is that the gap between the first and second phases of the National Volleyball Championship is always 5 months apart. With this period, each team continues to prepare to add more forces to return to efficiency at the decisive moment.
