Vo Thi My Tien is the Vietnamese athlete who won the most medals at the SEA Games with 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. She will receive a reward of 220 million VND according to Decree 152. In addition to the bonus, My Tien received a total of 260 million VND.
However, the person with the higher State bonus is shooter Trinh Thu Vinh, with 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 records established, equivalent to 265 million VND. Including the bonus, the female shooting athlete received a total of 310 million VND.

In addition, martial artists Tran Ngoc Luong and Quang Van Minh won the mixed martial arts (MMA) event - a sport that first appeared in the competition program of the SEA Games.
According to the announcement before the tournament, the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation (VMMAF) rewards each boxer with 200 million VND for each gold medal winner.
