Mr. Dang Tran Chinh returns to lead Becamex HCMC

Mr. Dang Tran Chinh will lead Becamex HCMC to replace coach Nguyen Anh Duc who has just resigned.

After a series of 4 consecutive losses in the V.League and the 2025-2026 National Cup, coach Nguyen Anh Duc has submitted a resignation letter. The leaders of Becamex HCMC club approved this proposal at a meeting on September 30.

In his first time leading a V.League team, the former Vietnam Golden Ball has encountered many difficulties despite having experience in First Division teams such as Long An and Binh Phuoc. After the opening victory over Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Becamex HCMC consecutively lost to Hanoi Police, Viettel, HCMC Police and Da Nang. In between was the loss to Dong Nai in the first round of the National Cup.

To stabilize the situation, the board of directors decided to assign the club's General Director - Mr. Dang Tran Chinh, to directly manage professional work. The homepage of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) also updated Mr. Chinh as the coach of Becamex HCMC.

Mr. Dang Tran Chinh is not unfamiliar with the football world, having held the role of interim coach at Becamex Binh Duong many times before switching to management. With his understanding of Becamex HCMC's youth force, he is expected to help the team quickly stabilize.

In the next round, Becamex HCMC will visit Thanh Hoa before facing a series of difficult matches against Nam Dinh, Hanoi FC and Ninh Binh. This is considered a big challenge in the transition period on the coaching bench.
