According to Lao Dong's investigation, expert Federico Rampazzo has officially signed a contract to become the new head coach of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team.
This Italian expert will come to Vietnam on May 25.
After completing the dossier procedures, and being assessed by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for appropriate professional ability, Mr. Federico Rampazzo was selected.
For the first time, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will have a specialist from Italy as head coach.
Previously, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team had Chinese and Brazilian experts in charge of the role of head coach.
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team is training 18 players of the first phase of 2026 including: Dinh Van Duy, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Minh Duc, Tran Duy Tuyen, Truong The Khai, Pham Quoc Du, Bui Xuan Tien, Tran Hoai Phuong, Tran Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang, Pham Thanh Tung, Trinh Duy Phuc, Tran Anh Tu, Ly Van Chuong, Dao Xuan Viet, Tang Ngoc Hieu.
The domestic coaches serving as assistants to expert Federico Rampazzo are Nguyen Dinh Lap, Phan Van Nghiep, and Le Quang Khanh.
The last time the Vietnamese men's volleyball team focused on international missions was SEA Games 33.
In the current list of 18 players, many faces have played at SEA Games 33. This year, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will have the opportunity to participate in the SEA V.League 2026 and ASIAD 20.
