The coaching staff of Hoa Chat Duc Giang volleyball team said that player Ly Thi Luyen is expected to return to Vietnam on April 5.
Ly Thi Luyen and the Nakhon Ratchasima team just reached the final of the Thai Women's Volleyball Championship. The final will take place on April 4 in Thailand.
After the final match, Ly Thi Luyen managed to return to Vietnam to participate in the first round of the 2026 National Club Championship, which will be held from April 6 to April 19.
Ly Thi Luyen is currently 1 of 3 female volleyball players of Vietnam playing abroad. In addition to her, other players are Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy playing in Japan.
Before going to Thailand, Ly Thi Luyen competed in Mongolia and won the runner-up title with the Hobby Ace women's team. The Nakhon Ratchasima volleyball team hired Ly Thi Luyen to strengthen the force from phase 2 of the Thai Women's Volleyball Championship.
Currently, Ly Thi Luyen is one of the best-performing middle blockers in Vietnamese women's volleyball. She possesses an outstanding height: 1m95, playing her forte in the middle block position.
Ly Thi Luyen used to be a player of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team. However, in 2025, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the coaching staff of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team did not focus this player on the team. Ly Thi Luyen did not participate in SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
According to the plan, the Duc Giang Chemicals team has the addition of 2 Thai foreign players to participate in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship.
