Tran Quyet Chien and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu entered the final of the 2026 World 3-Bang Carom Team Championship to meet host Germany late on March 1.
Quyet Chien played the first match against player Martin Horn of the home team. With bravery and many years of playing experience, Quyet Chien easily created a point gap against Martin Horn.
After 17 rounds of competition, the billiards player of Vietnam won with a score of 40-30.
In the next match, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu competed against Amir Ibraimov of the home team. The overwhelming game continued when Thanh Tu always scored points to lead. Amir Ibraimov had a chance to narrow the score, but at the decisive moment, Thanh Tu still took the lead to win 40-38.
The Vietnamese billiards team won the overall victory 2-0 and won the world championship this year. This is the 3rd consecutive time the Vietnamese billiards team has participated in the final of the World 3-Bang Carom Team Championship.
In 2024, with Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh, we won the championship. In 2025, Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh will be runners-up.

In the quarterfinals, Quyet Chien and Thanh Tu defeated the Turkish team. In the semi-finals, 2 players defeated the Swedish team. Meanwhile, the German team defeated the Colombian team in the semi-finals to enter the final.
